The goals of the South Bay Children's Choir are:
- To create a life-enhancing, joyful experience for audience and choir members through music
- To bring together those who share a common bond in their love of music
- To provide a learning environment where children progress from beginning to advanced levels in choral art
- To teach children vocal technique, sight-reading, performance skills, and the value of commitment
- To provide a place where children learn music from many cultures, in many languages, and from various periods of music history through the experience of the choral art
- To provide an experience where excellence is valued
